You are invited....
Please join us in 2008 for a leisurely self-guided trip through six beautiful horse farms and barns surrounding Southern Pines' scenic pine-studded Walthour-Moss Foundation. More than 4000 acres dedicated and preserved for equestrian use.
Plan to visit a variety of farms, new and remodeled barns, gardens, riding rings and a secluded pond. You will see Friesians, Haflingers, and Warmbloods, as well as beloved family horses. You will be treated to several equestrian demonstrations including a therapeutic riding session. Also plan to view a wonderful carriage and memorabilia room as well as be able to visit with and learn about another fascinating farm animal, the alpaca.
Headquarters will be at N.C. State University's College of Veterinary Medicine's Equine Health Center where you will have a chance to learn about the expanding list of services they offer to the horse community. The Health Center will open at 10:30, farms at 11:00
